A hitman tries to retire but a beautiful thief may change his plans. In London, the fifty-four year-old professional killer Victor Maynard is a lonely and methodic hitman that comes from a lineage of killers and lives in the country. He is considered the best and most expensive killer in London. When the thief Rose lures the powerful gangster Ferguson and sells a fake Rembrandt to him for 900,000 pounds, he contracts Maynard to kill her. He follows Rose and fails in his attempt; but soon he feels attracted for her and spares her life. Meanwhile Fergunson sends his two bodyguards to kill Rose in a parking garage but Maynard saves her helped by the car washer Tony. Maynard feels potential in Tony and invites him to be his apprentice and Rose and Tony believe he is a private detective. They flee from the bodyguard that has survived and Maynard decides to protect Rose and Tony. Soon Victor is pressed by his mother Louisa Maynard that is worried about her family reputation while Fergunson hires two sadistic killers to hunt rose and Victor down. But Victor and Rose seems to be made for each other. i watched this movie after reading reviews posted here, but personally i feel that this movie is not worth watchable. how can any1 like this movie there is not comedy at all. the fun stuff is totally missing . some review claims that there is hilarious comedy. i do not think they are doing right thing. they even not know what is hilarious comedy. the actress is very pretty. in my view it is totally disaster. this is the first review posted by me here and i am posting this because i spoil my time to watch this movie after that so many reviews claiming here that movie is hilarious. may b that they are from England that's why they liked it but as a neutral this movie sucks. My second Bill Nighy-does-comedy film using a red mini and London's Swiss Re building (the Gherkin) in a week. The other was the amiable Stormbreaker. Unfortunately, this dreadful, listless Britflick has more in common with the wretched Tamara Drewe, also recently released. The plot's marginally better but the script is a bore, inventing little episodes to try and create character but instead marinading the drama in the formaldehyde of contrivance. The direction is no help, with witless longeurs and a general sense of Tom n Jerry to the action. Why is he learning French? Why?!

The story's got a bit of potential, with a Leon-type character getting into a pickle with a client when a nascent midlife crisis blows up over a mark, oiled by the addition of a son-like figure. Nighy, Blunt and Grint are reasonably well cast, although one needs to go back to the (dare I say it again this week!) Richard Curtis scripted The Girl in the Café to get Nighy doing the cross-generational lurve thing convincingly. The other two are a bit dull but nothing beats the execrable cameo of Martin Freeman, whose pitiable big screen career now officially becomes risible. Shame.

Wild Target is a re-make of a similar, French all-star vehicle from twenty years ago called Cible émouvante which I would strongly suggest watching instead. 2/10 The considerable wit, style, and skill that Mr. Nighy and Ms. Blunt bring to the project are squandered.
